About Us

  • Sam Matthews: Founder

Sam is creator and founder of Propagate Studio and her brand That’s So Sam. Since she was little she has been creating with whatever materials she could get her hands on and had a vibrant imagination. It was through her many travels stateside and overseas that she discovered her passion for creative outlets for others. She graduated with her bachelors degree in Fine Art in 2015.

She considers herself an “artrepreneur” and loves creating art of all kinds including murals and mini pottery as well as creating all that Propagate Studio is and continues to become. She believes that the process of art making opens up doors that can truly change a person’s life, no matter their age or skill or ability and that we all need to play a little more.

She is in a loving relationship with her partner Matt and they have two furr babies, Coco and Rudy.

  • Krissy Harper: Studio Assistant & Art Thrift Queen

Krissy Harper is a mixed media artist with a concentration in collage & visual merchandising.  She studied Fashion Buying & Merchandising and uses styling as another way to express her creativity by coordinating colorful clothing & accessories with vigor and passion!

From a young age she fell in love with stationery, fashion magazines & all things vintage. Today she takes inspiration from her passions to create handmade, one-of-a-kind, greeting cards, decorative matchboxes, journals & other gift items for her small business, Ettatorials.

Her love for organizing and creating eye-catching displays, makes her job at the Studio, in particular, the Art Supply Thrift Shop, a dream come true!

Originally from New York, she now lives in the Lehigh Valley and spends her free time running in the park, flea market shopping, reading & continuously searching for the perfect red lipstick.
