Propagation Fund

from $5.00

The Propagation Fund has been a brainchild of mine since my undergrad senior art exhibition in 2015. I had dreams of creating a mobile art studio that gave back to the community one day. Part of that dream came through when I started Art Across Borders (my mobile business) and while I was able to bring creativity and art with me through experiences and classes, I had to focus on supporting myself as a post college artist with student loans.

Once I opened Propagate Studio the idea for a fund that people could apply to in order to receive a creative experience for free became more possible. With the generosity of a wonderful student of mine we have the seed money to start this fund this holiday season and share this concept with all of you.

This fund will be available to anyone who completes the application https://www.propagatestudionj.com/propagation-fund and as long as there are funds available. This is where you come in! If you are able to contribute to this fund you will be helping us propagate creativity in those who might not have the means to take an art class now or anytime. To some, an art class might not seem like an experience that needs to have a scholarship but I beg to differ. Creativity, playfulness, and expression is so needed in our daily lives and no one should be denied access to those experiences. A creative experience might be the spark that starts someone on a journey to healing, to starting their own business, to loving themselves, and to embracing a talent they didn’t know they had and so much more.

My hope is that through this fund we will never have to turn away someone who wants to come to a class but can’t due to financial reasons. Through your gift we can grow this opportunity for others and propagate the amazing gift of creativity to others in our community. I ascribe to the belief in the law of abundance, that there is plenty to go around, and that by giving, you are opening yourself up to receiving something greater. Thank you for your generosity and support. - Sam Matthews
